About
Our Mission
The Society for Clinical Data Management, Inc., (SCDM) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit professional society founded to advance the discipline of clinical data management. The binding interest of all members is quality clinical data management practices.
International Commitment
SCDM is increasingly an international organization. Our key offerings, such as the GCDMP, training materials and CCDM® examination, remain primarily focused on U.S. regulations and practices, but are used globally. The SCDM Board of Trustees is committed to adjusting all of SCDM's offerings to align them with the needs of our worldwide membership and the global industry of which we are a part. Going forward, when offerings are reviewed, updated or created, there will be an explicit focus on ensuring that the new or revised offering is applicable in a global context rather than being focused on a North American or United States context.
The Board of Trustees believes that SCDM is well-equipped to make this transition to serving the needs of a global audience. Our members in and outside of North America have extensive knowledge of international regulations, standards and practices. We will continue to leverage this knowledge base. In addition, we will seek collaboration and partnerships with various international CDM organizations to bring a fully global context to everything SCDM does.
