CRF Tracking and Inventory
Saturday, October 7th, 2006
12:00p.m- 4:00p.m.
Presenter: Debra Fasteson-Harris, CCDM, Manager Clinical Data Management Management Operations
This course will describe tools and methods for the data manager to determine when to expect CRF page submissions, determine when CRF pages are late, identify when CRF pages are missing, and design useful reports for project team members at all levels. This will enable a data manager to proactively manage the data status for their trial. Using a training protocol, this course will provide practical exercises and group discussions to meet the following objectives:
- Project all study visits based on a protocol
- Apply protocol and CRF schedules to project data/page arrival
- Track and analyze actual vs. expected pages to estimate the backlog at the sites
- Define user requirements for electronic tools to perform CRF tracking tasks
- Identify information capture points in the CDM process and list algorithms needing definition
- Design data status reports using these algorithms
- Maintain tracking/inventory and identify missing CRF submissions
- Identify CRF flow issues and initiate steps to resolve
