- individuals who work in the regulated health product industries, such
as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, imaging and medical device, and diagnostic products
- or in one of the many types of support and partner organizations,
such as consultants, placement agencies, contract research organizations, site management
organizations, hospitals and academic research settings, hardware and software companies
- or in one of the regulatory agencies, such as the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA)
To date, most members are from North America, however there are no
geographic restrictions associated with membership. Annual dues are a modest $90 thus
assuring that all interested professionals are able to join.

The Multiple Membership option allows organizations the opportunity to renew or add new memberships for more than one person at one time.

Membership Information
The Membership shall consist primarily of individuals
geographically located within, but not limited to, North America, who support and abide by
the objectives of the Society.
Admission to membership of the Society shall be at the discretion of
the Board of Trustees, for a membership fee to be paid annually. The annual membership fee
shall be determined by the Board of Trustees. Dues are payable to the Society upon
application for membership and annually thereafter.
Membership shall include:
- Employees of pharmaceutical/biotechnology/medical device companies
who have direct involvement in or direct supervision of clinical data management;
- Employees of third-party organizations who provide support to the
pharmaceutical industry:
- contract research organizations (CRO);
- consulting firm, or individual consultant;
- hardware or software company, or related services provider (vendor);
- personnel search or placement firm (recruiter);
- Members of the academic community who are involved in managing data from clinical trials, and those offering or studying educational curricula in the management of clinical information;
- Employees of regulatory agencies who are involved in the management and/or reviewing clinical trial data;
- Scientific research workers of related disciplines who possess a keen interest in good clinical data management practices but are not included in any of the above categories.
All Members shall have the right to vote and be entitled to attend and speak at General Meetings.
Any Member acting on behalf of the Society may do so only with the prior express written permission from the Chair of the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees shall be empowered to revoke the membership status of any Member whose conduct is judged to conflict with the Purposes of the Society.
Membership fees shall neither be refunded nor prorated. Transfer of membership can only be granted under the “Multiple Member” membership category. Transfer of membership for an “individual membership” will not be permitted.
